International Day of Sign Languages is September 23rd!

The International Day of Sign Languages is celebrated on September 23rd. This day raises awareness of the importance of sign language and the human rights of people who are deaf. The International Day of Sign Languages is commemorated on this day because it is the same date the World Federation of the Deaf was launched in 1951.

9th Annual Wheelchair Rugby Pay-to-Play Tournament Fall 2022

The Ohio Buckeye Blitz Wheelchair Rugby team and Student Occupational Therapy Association at The Ohio State University are hosting their annual Wheelchair Rugby Pay-to-Play event on September 17, 2022, from 9:00AM - 1:00PM at Franklin Park Adventure Center. No experience is necessary, and all ages are welcome to play!

Proceeds benefit both the Ohio Buckeye Blitz Wheelchair Rugby Team and the Student Occupational Therapy Association at Ohio State.

Southwest Airlines Neurodiverse Internship Program

The Ace! program is helping Southwest hold a campus event for Autistic students to learn about their Neurodiversity Internship program.  The event will be in-person and held on September 30th from 5:30 -7:00p in Gerlach Hall, Room 265.

REMINDER: ASC Info Session: Procter & Gamble and Student Life Disability Services Recruitment Night

Join ASC on September 15 at 4:00pm with Procter and Gamble at Younkin 150. This session is hosted in collaboration with Ohio State's Student Life Disability Services office. P&G HR professionals will talk about career and resume-building opportunities (e.g., internships) available. *P&G recruiters are interested in connecting with students seeking careers in STEM and business.

Recruitment Survey for Doctoral Candidate's Research Study

A doctoral candidate at the University of Southern California is conducting research on the disclosure decisions of allopathic medical school students with invisible disabilities in the United States. If you are a current medical school student with an invisible disability you are invited to participate in a brief recruitment survey (estimated three minutes to completion) to see if you meet additional eligibility requirements for a qualitative study using one-on-one interviews conducted as part of a dissertation. Participation is voluntary.
