Lab Assistants
Lab assistants collaborate with students with disabilities in a lab or classroom setting to complete physically inaccessible aspects of their coursework. For example: pouring chem lab solutions, reading measurements, carrying lab equipment, and/or providing verbal descriptions of visual information. Science/Chem lab experience strongly desired. Federal Work Study and Non-Work Study welcome.

Media Production Technicians
The Alternative Media team provides academic support services for students with sensory disabilities. We will teach you how to convert academic materials into formats that are accessible to screen readers. You can also learn how to add and edit video captions. This position requires a commitment of 10 hours per week with a flexible schedule. Federal Work Study and Non-Work Study welcome. $13/hour

Office Assistants (Front Desk)
Office Assistants serve as a front-line representative for Student Life Disability Services (SLDS), providing reception support for guests in person, over the phone, via e-mail, and through in-office online chat. Office Assistants will also schedule appointments, triage inquiries to professional staff, update student records, and complete digital forms.

Exam Student Assistants
Provides exam accommodations for Ohio State students with disabilities; assists with the coordination and proctoring of 19,000+ exams annually; monitors the Accessible Information Management system (AIM), the online database Exam Services scheduling module; proctors exams in person and with video monitors, answers phones; files, copies, scans, and emails completed exams.

Access Student Assistant - Currently Filled
Access Student Assistants support the Access Specialist team by meeting with students to collect information that will be used to determine accommodations. We will teach you how to read and interpret documentation, the basics of interviewing, how to use our information management system, and how to implement accommodations. This position offers a combination of in-person and work-from-home modalities, requiring a minimum of 10 hours per week. Upper division and graduate students preferred.
