Exam Services Late Arrival Policy change begins Autumn Term 2026

Change to SLDS Exam Services Arrival Policy (Autumn 2026)

Beginning Autumn 2026, SLDS Exam Services will no longer offer an automatic 15-minute grace period for late arrivals. To ensure students receive their full testing time, they should plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before their scheduled exam.

If the student arrives after their scheduled start time, they may need to either use the remaining time or request to reschedule (note: instructor approval is not guaranteed). If the exam start is delayed due to SLDS-related factors, students will still receive their full testing time. This policy applies to both paper and online exams.

This change is intended to support timely exam starts and a consistent testing experience for all students.
